Hey Lovelies! Do you like to drink hot chocolate milk during the winter?! I do, sometimes even all year round when I feel like it. It’s just so good! For day 20 we are gonna make this cute little mug with some ‘latte’ art. I hope you’ll like it!
For this pattern you’ll need:
♥ Yarn in the colors Blue and White. (I used Stylecraft Special DK)
♥ Bit of extra Black yarn for his Mouth.
♥ Crochet hook. ( I used 3mm)
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Stitch Marker.
♥ Safety Eyes, 6mm.
Stitches used (US Terms):
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
BL = Back Loops.
FL = Front Loops.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.
This pattern is made with continues rounds, unless stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.
♥ Pattern Mug
Start with the color White.
1: 6SC in a Magic Ring.
2: 2SC in each st around.
3: (1SC, inc) 6 times.
Change to the color Blue.
4: FL, (5SC, inc) 3 times.
5: 21SC.
6: 21SC.
Crochet the next row as normal, but also add the BL of row 3. So you create a rim that will stay in place.
7: 21SC. Remember to use those BL of row 3!
8: 21SC.
9: 21SC.
10: 21SC.
Place the eyes between row 8&9, about 5st apart.
11: 21SC.
12: BL, (5SC, dec) 3 times.
13: (1SC, dec) 6 times.
Stuff the Mug.
14: Dec around.
Fasten off and weave in tail.
Use the color Blue.
1: 5SC in a Magic Ring.
2: 5SC.
Repeat row 2 until you have 7 rows total.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Whenever I start assembling Amigurumi, I’d like to use sewing pins to position all parts first until I’m happy. Then I will sew them on. I recommend you do so as well.
This one is pretty easy to assemble, just sew the handle to the mug. With a bit of Black yarn, create his Mouth. With a bit of brown pastel or acrylic paint you could paint a little tree on the white part, to make it a bit more festive.
If you want to hang it, don’t forget to add a loop to the top.
I hope you enjoyed today’s pattern! I think it’s adorable. If you decided to make any of the blogmas amigurumi, please show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY. I’d love to see what you make using my patterns.
