Stocking

♥ Day8; Stocking Amigurumi

8 december 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Every year I think I need to make an actual stocking for myself to hang at my place. But I’ve never done it so far, only crocheted small ones. This year is no different, but I hope you like this little one, even when you can’t stuff him!

Stocking made with Amigurumi

For this pattern you’ll need:
♥ Yarn in the colors Red and White. (I used Stylecraft Special DK)
♥ A bit of extra Black yarn to create it’s mouth.
♥ Crochet hook. (I used 3mm)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Stitch Marker.
♥ Safety Eyes, 6mm.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
Crab St = Crab Stitch.
ST = Stitch.
BL = Back Loops.
FL = Front Loops.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

This pattern is made with continues rounds, unless stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start assembling Amigurumi, I’d like to use sewing pins to position all parts first until I’m happy. Then I will sew them on. I recommend you do so as well.

There isn’t anything to assemble on this one. But with the piece of black yarn, create his mouth.
If you want to hang it, don’t forget to add a loop to the top.

I hope you enjoyed today’s pattern! I think it’s adorable. If you decided to make any of the blogmas amigurumi, please show me on Twitter or Instagram  with #DelinleaDIY. I’d love to see what you make using my patterns.

And don’t forget that you can get all Blogmas patterns ad free in a PDF bundle in my Ko-Fi shop (English US terms and Dutch). The link you can find on the Blogmas Page here! (Etsy might follow later).

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Love
Danielle

♥ Day 12; Pikachu Stocking

12 december 2018 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! It’s day 12 of Blogmas 2018. And that means, we are half way through! Are you happy it’s going so fast, or do you want it to slow down?! For today’s DIY I wanted to make a stocking, even tho it doesn’t have those Christmassy colors, I think you will still like it. I actually wanted to do a charmander one, but I had no orange felt, so a Pikachu Stocking it is! But ofcourse you can change it to any pokemon you want! Have fun!

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥  Felt in the colors White, Yellow, Red andBlack.
♥  Sewing thread in matching colors to the felt.
♥  Sewing Needle.
♥  Trick Marker or anything else where you cancopy the pattern with onto your felt.
♥  Pattern.
♥  Scissors.
♥  Stuffing.
♥  Fabric Glue. (optional)
♥  Acryllic Paint in White. (optional)
♥  15cm of white yarn.

DIY

First off all, download the pattern HERE! And print it out (or draw it from your screen). The good thing is, you can make it as big as you want! Then cut out all the pieces. On every piece is stated how many times you need to cut it out of felt.

Cut part A out of Yellow Felt, Part B and F out of White felt. Part C out of Red felt. Part D, E and the mouth out of Black felt. Optional: the white dot in the eye, you can either paint it on or cut it out of white felt.

Sew parts B to parts A with a running stitch, only the part that’s in the middle of the sock.

Glue or sew on the face of Pikachu, make sure you don’t forget the white dots in the eyes, with either paint or felt. The circles for his cheeks I trimmed down the edge.

Now it’s time to sew parts a together with a Blanket stitch. All around.

When you’ve done that, it’s time to glue or sew on part F to the sock. I placed it about half way. (see the pic) But later I thought it would look better to fold in 1 cm from the top. Its best to do that first, and then glue/sew it to the sock.

Last but not least, tie a knot in both end together in the piece of yarn, so you’ll get a loop. And glue this to the stocking.

And it’s done! See, you can make many variations on this! Go wild, get creative! Have fun! And don’t forget to share with #DelinleaBlogmas2018DIY or #DelinleaDIY.

Love
Danielle
