♥ Halloween Creature Amigurumi

21 oktober 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! It’s almost Halloween, and I had many ideas, started some ages ago and didn’t finish it yet. And of course I lost the sketch of how it needed to look like. After a lot of searching I finally found the sketch back and managed to finish the amigurumi in no time! This little creature came out of it, and I actually like it, simple but cute. Today is a free pattern for you to enjoy.

(hmm how to type this while my cats want attention?! Haha I keep needing to correct words/sentences since they keep walking over my keyboard. Life with 2 kittens isn’t always easy, but they are adorable and so sweet, they just don’t always listen).

Halloween Creature made with the Amigurumi technique

For this Pattern you’ll need:
♥ Fluffy Yarn in the color Purple.
♥ DK Yarn in the colors Purple and Black.

♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ 1 Safety Eyes, 10mm.
♥ Bit of Black and Pink felt for the eye and tongue.
♥ (Fabric) Glue.

*Check your yarn that you wanna use, to which hook size you need. For amigurumi it isn’t necessary to use the exact same yarn, they will only turn out bigger or smaller.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
BL = Back Loops only.
Inc = Increase.

Assembling

Whenever I start to assemble an Amigurumi, I use sewing pins first, to position all parts. This way I can move the parts around until I am happy with how it looks. I recommend you do so as well.
Use the pictures as reference, to see where all parts go.

From felt, cut out a cross of black felt and a small tongue for pink felt. Glue the cross on where the other eye should be. Now you can also position where the mouth should go and sew this on and glue on the tongue.
Sew the feet to the body and the arms on each side of the body. Sew the ribbon of the hat on and attach the hat to the body as well.

That’s all for today! But I really love how this one turned out, I hope you do as well. If you decide to make it, make sure to tag me on Twitter or Instagram, I’d love to see what you create with my patterns!

Have a wonderful day!

♥ Assembling Truning Tsum Tsum

Usually I use sewing pins to put amigurumi together first, but since you don’t use any stuffing for this one, that’s gonna be a bit tricky, you could try if you want to.

On both the Orange and White body, sew the beak on. On the White body, sew his shirt one, make sure to sew along all the edges, so it’s secure enough to flip it inside out. Then sew on his legs, 2 Orange at the back and the White in front. Under his Beak you will add his little bow. And last add his little hat, when you have sewn it on, make sure you use the tail end to make the small detail on top (lacking English here, help! Haha)
Now, back to the pumpkin version, since the beak is on, you can add all the lines on the body. It’s a bit hard to explain where they should go. But on the head there are 4 lines and on the body as well. Keep in mind that it should be a pumpkin, the lines on the head go from bottom to top, where they meet, and the lines on the body go from the head to the butt and meet there. Use the sewing thread and needle to do this. Or paint/draw them on if you feel that’s better/easier. When that’s done, sew the stem, hat, 4 legs and bow to the body.
Now let’s make some eyes, for the Pumpkin use brown felt, and make the eyes slightly bigger and oval, as you would normally do for Donald. And for the normal Donald, use black felt and cut out small circles. Glue those on and let dry well.

Now for the last part of assembling, put them together, the opening should be completely lined up and sew those together. I used only the back loops to do so. Now you can push one side inside the other. And if you feel like you want to other side, flip it. The first few times, this won’t go too smoothly, but after a few times, this goes easier.

I hope you had fun with this turning Tsum pattern and hope you will make it! If you did, please, show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY, I’d love to see!

Happy Halloween!! and I’ll see you next week!

Danielle

♥ Halloween Ufufy Add Ons

22 oktober 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Do you like to celebrate Halloween?! I love the idea of Halloween, but I grew up in a country where it isn’t celebrated. Although, these days it does get more attention. I would have loved it if it would have been a thing here, well maybe not the dress up part, I hated to dress up as a kid. Anyway, for today’s blog I wanted to do something with Ufufy and Halloween. And since the original Ufufy don’t have any Halloween or Fall related plushies. I had to make something up. And why not dress them up with some Halloween add ons that you can easily make and add. Quick but fun, I hope you’ll like it! If you don’t have Ufufy’s, HERE you can find the patterns I made so far!

Halloween Ufufy

For this pattern you’ll need:
♥ DK yarn, Check the add on which colors you need.
♥ Crochet hook. ( I used a 2/3mm, depending on the yarn I used)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Stitch Marker.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
FSC = Foundation Single Crochet.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
FL = Front Loops.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

Disclaimer: The add ons are made for my ufufy patterns. It’s possible that they don’t fit the originals.

Those patterns are made with continues rounds, unless stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.

♥ Witch Hat

Start with the color Black

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]
2: (2SC, inc) 2 times. [8]
3: (3SC, inc) 2 times. [10]
4: (4SC, inc) 2 times. [12]
5: (5SC, inc) 2 times. [14]
6: (6SC, inc) 2 times. [16]
7: (7SC, inc) 2 times. [18]
8: (8SC, inc) 2 times. [20]
9: (9SC, inc) 2 times. [22]
Change to the color Purple.
10. 22SC. [22]
11: 22SC. [22]
Change to the color Black.
12: FL, inc, (2SC, inc) 7 times. [30]
13: (4SC, inc) 6 times. [36]
14: 36SC. [36]
Fasten off and weave in tail.

♥ Devils Headband

This one is not made with continues rounds.

Headband
Use the color Black.

Make 15FSC. (Or Chain 16, insert in second ch from hook, 15SC). [15]
Fasten off and weave in tail.

Horns (Make 2)
Use the color Red.

Ch3, insert in second ch from hook, SlSt, 2SC in the next st. [3]
Fasten off and sew the horns to the headband.

♥ Mummy

Use the color White.
This one is not made with continues rounds.

Make 200FSC. (Or Ch201, insert in second ch from hook, 200SC). [200]
You could make this one longer if you prefer.
Fasten off and weave in tail.

♥ Tiny Pumpkin

Pumpkin
Use the color Orange.

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]
2: 2SC in each st around. [12]
3: 12SC. [12]
4: 12SC. [12]
5: 12SC. [12] Stuff.
6: Dec around. [6]
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
With the tail you will make the definition of a pumpkin, wrap the yarn around and go with a needle through the middle of the pumpkin and pull tight, repeat this about 5 times. Fasten off and weave in tail.

Stem

Ch3, insert in second chain from hook, 2SLSt.
Fasten off and sew the stem to the pumpkin.

♥ Dressing up!

Now for the fun part, dress up you Ufufy’s! Since I didn’t want to sew the parts on, I used wire that I folded in half, and attach the parts that way. So I can remove it later when Halloween is over.
For the mummy, simply wrap it around your ufufy.
Witch Hat can be simply put on top.
Devils headband is also very straight forward, put it on their head.
And I added the pumpkins, simply cause they are cute, but they are also small enough to put on a headband, I made a green base of the devils headband and the sewn the pumpkin on.

I hope you had fun with today’s pattern. And if you made some, please, show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY. I love to see what you create!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

Love
Danielle

♥ Spooky Jar DIY

15 oktober 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Today I have a cute craft for you to make for Halloween! It’s easy to assemble and make, so you can make a lot or just for a quick last minute deco thing! I made a Spooky Jar for you. Of course you can make it how you want, but this one is to give you a idea of what you could do. Most of the materials that are used can be either found for free in nature or you have them already at your house. I hope you will enjoy this tutorial! Somehow I wanna make a few more, but where to put them all? Haha.

Jar with a ghost inside, DIY

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ A Clean Jar, check if you can recycle any.
♥ Decoration for in the jar, think of moss, acorns, branches etc.
♥ Glitter (optional).
♥ Few Tissues.
♥ Small Ball. (I used stuffing, but you could also use paper or more tissues).
♥ Sewing Thread and Needle.
♥ Paint and Brushes.
♥ Glue (optional).
♥ Fairy Lights (optional).

An example of materials you could use.

♥ Tutorial Spooky Jar

Make sure your jar is clean and dry. If your lid is a color you don’t like, paint it in a color you like and let this dry well.

At the top of the jar, you could add some paint as well, I used a bit of white mixed with some glue. You could leave the glue out though, but I didn’t want the white paint to be too opaque. Dap the paint on, messily around the top. You could do a bit at the bottom as well, but I didn’t do so. Let this dry as well.

Decoration

Now let’s add the decoration in the jar. You could use glue, but I didn’t find it necessary. Add anything you like, but if you have something to cover the bottom of the jar, like moss, add that first. And then add anything you like. At the end, when I was happy with how it looked, I sprinkled a bit of glitter over it. When you add lights, it will give that little extra.

Ghost

Take your little ball and your tissues. It depends on the size of your jar on how big you wanna make it, so just adjust it to what you work with. Place to pieces of the tissues on top of each other, make sure the middle of it lines up but the points aren’t. place your ball in the middle and wrap the tissues around it. Use a bit of thread to keep it together. With some black paint you can add a little face to your ghost.
With a big needle poke some thread through. This way you can hang it from the lid with some tape.

Now if you want you can add some lights to the jar as well, I like it both, with or without. But since it’s spooky season, I prefer to add lights!

I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! And that you will make it, if you do, show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week.

Love

♥ Spidey Amigurumi

8 oktober 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Do you like spiders?! If not, you might have a problem with today’s pattern, although this Spidey looks very cute! I hope you won’t be spooked. Even though it is spooky month! This spider is very easy and quick to make. The legs take the longest to make, but I guess that’s fine. I hope you will enjoy this pattern!

Spidey Amigurumi Plush

For this Pattern you’ll need;
♥ Velvet yarn in a Spidery color. (I used extra soft from the Zeeman)
♥ DK yarn in Black. (I used Stylecraft Special DK)
♥ Crochet hook. ( I used a 3mm and a 6mm)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ 4 Safety eyes, 2 11mm and 2 6mm.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Stitch Marker.
♥ Bit of White yarn for accent by the eyes.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
FL = Front Loops.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

♥ Pattern Spidey

This pattern is made with continues rounds, unless stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.

Head and Body
Use the Velvet Yarn and the 6mm hook.

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]
2: 2SC in each st around. [12]
3: 12SC. [12]
4: 12SC. [12]
5: (2SC, dec) 3 times. [9]
6: FL, 2SC in each st around. [18]
You might wanna add the eyes now, the big ones beside each other, where you started the head and the smaller ones on the outer sides of the big ones. And stuff the head as well.
7: (2SC, inc) 6 times. [24]
8: 24SC. [24]
|
10: 24SC. [24]
11: (2SC, dec) 6 times. [18]
12: 18SC. [18]
13: (1SC, dec) 6 times. [12]
14: 12SC. [12] Stuff the body
15: (2SC, dec) 3 times. [9]
16: (1SC, dec) 3 times. [6]
Fasten off and weave in tail.

Legs (Make 8)
Use the Black DK yarn and the 3mm hook.

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]
2: 6SC. [6]
Repeat row 2 until you have 8 rows total!
Faste off and leave a long tail for sewing.

♥ Assembling Spidey

Whenever I assemble Amigurumi’s, I always like to use sewing pins first, this way I can move parts around until I am happy, then I’ll sew them on.

For this one there isn’t too much sewing. You just have to sew Spidey his legs on. And that’s it.
If you like, you can stitch on a bit of white around his eyes, I found they didn’t show too well without on this yarn. And this makes him even cuter!

I hope you had fun with this Spidey pattern today, and if you did, I would love to see what you made! You can show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week with another spooky craft!
