Hey Lovelies! How’s your week going?! I still have to get back in my productive mode. Still, procrastinating a lot, oops. That’s why my blog is also late today. But here it is, finally. I made a Tinkerbell Tsum Tsum this time. I struggled a lot with making her hair, so annoying, not sure what was going on. Usually I make patterns easily. Oh well, enough babbling, let’s go to the pattern.

Tinkerbell Tsum Tsum

For this Pattern you’ll need:

♥ Bit of Blue yarn.
♥ Black felt for details.
♥ Crochet Hook. (I used a 2,5mm hook)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Stitch Markers.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ (Fabric)Glue.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.

SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
HDC = Half Double Crochet.

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start to assemble Amigurumi’s, I use sewing pins first to position all parts. This way you can easily move things around until you are happy and sew it on. I recommend you would do this as well.

First sew on Tinkerbell her legs, the 2 back legs go under her skirt and the beige ones, near her face. Now you now that the top of her body is, position her hair nicely and sew it on, then add the bun and put the hairband around it. Then sew on her ears as well. Last sew on her wings!
From felt make her eyes and eyebrows (Or use yarn to create her eyebrows). Glue those on and let dry.

Tinkerbell is finished! I hope it wasn’t too hard? I don’t think so. I hope you had fun. If you decided to make her, make sure to show me on Twitter or Instagram with the #DelinleaDIY.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

Tigger Ufufy

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start assembling a Amigurumi, I’d like to use sewing pins first to position all part. This way you can easily move everything around until you are happy. Then you can sew it on.

Start with Tigger’s legs, two just under his belly and two on the side. Then position his face, keep the snout near to check if it is positioned right, since the snout will go partially over the face. Make sure, in the end, that the snout will be just above the belly.
Then sew on his ears and tail.
Now it is time to make his stripes, there are a lot, so check my pictures for references. You can make the stripes with either felt or yarn, use whatever you are most comfortable with.
Last make his eyes, nose and inside of the ears.

Tigger is done! I hope you enjoyed following along this pattern! If you made him, don’t forget to show me on Twitter or Instagram with the #DelinleaDIY.

I hope you have a wonderful day! I’ll see you next week with a TsumTsum pattern.

Love
Danielle

♥ Monstera Leaf of Plexiglass DIY

13 augustus 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Is it as hot as it is here?! Gosh, I am not made for weather above 25 degrees Celsius, and it is currently 33 >_<. I feel sick cause of the heat and my body aches.. I just want cold/rainy weather! xD (We don’t have airco and houses are build to keep heat inside on cold days..well, it does its job on hot days too..)
Anyway, I am glad I did plan an easy DIY for this week, so I could slowly work on it. I wanna show you how to make Monstera leaves from plexiglass. I had this material left over from some old frames. I’d better use all the stuff I’ve around. (I need to come up with a few more plexiglass ideas, I’ve many more *Hides). I guess the virus also brought something good, I started using a lot of the materials I already had around. I barely bought any crafting supplies since.

Monstera Leaf of Plexiglass

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Plexiglass. (Can be as thick as you want)
♥ Sharp Knife or Fretsaw /I believe it is called/.
♥ Shape of a Monstera leaf printed out or drawn.
♥ Cutting Mat.
♥ Sanding Paper.
♥ Glue.
♥ Green Acrylic Paint.

♥DIY Monstera Leaf of Plexiglass

First draw or print out a shape of a Monstera Leaf of your liking. Keep in mind, that the more details it has the more complicated it will be to cut out. You can make it as big as you want, but small is tricky. I made mine about 17cm.

Now trace the leaf to the plexiglass. I used a knive to carve it in lightly, but you can also use a marker. Make sure, that if you use a marker, that there’s still the protective foil on both side. This makes life a lot easier with working on the leaf. It doesn’t get stains or scratches.

♥ Cutting the shape

Now it’s time to decide if you wane use a knife to cut it out, carving it in and breaking off the remains carefully. Which can be tricky, (mine broke at some spots I didn’t wanted it to). Or use a fretsaw to go around the out lines. Whichever way you chose, be careful, both are sharp things to use, and if the plastic breaks as well, it’s sharp, don’t hurt yourself!

When you have the shape completely cut out, use some sanding paper on the edges. To remove any un even edges and the sharp points that might be there.

Now it is time to remove the protective foil. If you want you can keep the shape like this and say it is done. But you can also give it some color, like I did.

♥ Painting

Mix glue with a tiny bit of green paint (You could use paint only, but then you loose transparency). You could test the color first on one of the scrap pieces to test if you like the color. If you do, paint the whole leaf green, on one side, it’s okay if the layer isn’t even, I think that adds to it. Try to avoid very runny glue, plastic won’t take watery things very well. You can better have it on the thicker side.

When you are done, let it dry completely and give it a gloss varnish if you like.

Later I was thinking, what if you add black/metallic tape to the edges, so it looks like stained glass, wouldn’t that be cool?

I hope you enjoyed this DIY! If you decided to make some leaves, show me on Twitter or Instagram with the #DelinleaDIY.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

Love
Danielle

PS. The transparency isn’t really visible, but I refuse to go take pics outside right now! Maybe I’ll update this post later, when heat wave stopped!

♥ Strawberry Sea Bunny Amigurumi

6 augustus 2020 by Delinlea 2 Comments

Hey Lovelies! Today I have a VERY cute pattern for you. I love sea slugs, that sounds maybe weird, but have you ever googled them?! So pretty and some are adorable, like the sea bunny. On that one is my pattern based today. I made this Strawberry Sea Bunny amigurumi! It’s so quick to make and way too cute to resist! I’ve made a Sea Bunny from fabric before, and I am clueless why I never made one from yarn. XD Oh well, it’s here now. Let’s see what you need for him.

Strawberry Sea Bunny

For this Pattern you’ll need:
♥ Fluffy Yarn in White.
♥ Yarn in Light Green, Light Yellow and White. (I used Budgetyarn.com, a DK yarn)
♥ Safety Eyes, 1cm.
♥ Crochet Hook. (I used a 2,5mm hook for the DK yarn and a 4,5mm for the fluffy yarn)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Stitch Markers.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Pink Marker. (Optional)

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
HDC = Half Double Crochet.
DC = Double Crochet.
Picot = 3Ch, Slst in the first st.
ST = Stitch.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

♥ Pattern Strawberry Sea Bunny

The body is made with continues rounds. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.

Body
Use the White Fluffy yarn.

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]

Strawberry Sea Bunny

♥ Assembling

I always use sewing pins first to assemble my amigurumi’s, this way I can position all parts until I like how it looks. When I am happy, I’ll sew them on.

For the body I used a pink marker and colored the upper part lightly. You might wanna brush it out when it’s dry, to get back the soft fluffiness. To color it is of course optional, you can leave him white as well!
Then add the ears to your strawberry sea bunny, almost behind the eyes, but see what works for you. And Last sew on his tail as well.

That was it already for today’s pattern! I know fluffy yarn is quit tricky to use, but just practice a bit with it, you will get the hang of it. I hope you enjoyed making this Strawberry Sea Bunny, and if you did, make sure to show me on Twitter or Instagram, I’d love to see!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

3: (1SC, inc) 6 times. [18]
4: (2SC, inc) 6 times. [24]

6: (4SC, inc) 3 times, (inc, 4SC) 3 times. [36]

34: (1SC, dec) 6 times. [12]
35: dec around. [6]
Fasten off and weave in tail.

Flippers (Make 4)
Use the color Light Green.

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring. [6]
2: 2SC in each st around. [12]
3: (1SC, inc) 6 times. [18]
4: 7SC, 1HDC, (2DC in the next st) 2 times, 1HDC, 7SC. [20]
5: 4SC, skip 12st, 4SC. [8]
6: 8SC. [8]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Shell (Make 5)
Start with the color yellow
This part won’t be made with continues rounds, close every row with a SlSt and start with a Ch.

1: 5SC in a Magic Ring, SlSt in the first st. [5]
Change to the color Red.
2: Ch1, 2SC in each st around, SlSt in the first st. [10]
3: Ch1, (3SC in the next st, Ch1, Skip 1st) 5 times, SlSt in the first st. [20]
Change to the color Brown.
4: (3SC, 1SC in the st you skipped at row3) 5 times, SlSt in the first st. [20]
5: (3SC, inc) 5 times, SlSt in the first st.  [25]
6: (4SC, inc) 5 times, SlSt in the first st.  [30]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Obviously you are not finished with the shell yet, sew all the parts together as shown in the drawing below. When you have done that, Now you have to crochet around the edge with SC, but in the spots 2parts of the shell meet, you have to make a HDC. Also you have to make some DC where his ‘neck’ will be. Use the same drawing below to see what goes where.

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start sewing a Amigurumi together, I like to use sewing pins to position all parts first. This way I can move it easily around until I am happy with how it looks. After I will sew it on.

Easiest is to sew on his shell first. This way you know exactly where the flippers will go. The front flippers slightly in front of his shell and his back flippers where 2 parts of his shell meet. You can definitely do however you love it best, though. Then cut some eyes out of felt and glue those on. After I painted on the spots on his head with acrylic paint. (If you heat set the paint you can wash it as well). Last I made his mouth and eyebrows with some embroidery and he was already finished.

It took me forever to finish Squirt though, I have no clue why, probably procrastinating problems haha xD. But I love him now and I am glad Squirt is born. Another Tsum for my growing TsumTsum collection. xD. I hope you will make him as well and if you do, please show me on Twitter or Instagram with the #DelinleaDIY

I hope you had fun with this pattern today and I’ll see you next week.
