Blogmas 2021

♥ Day 12; Lights

23 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! To finish of this project there isn’t too much to it, I wanted to keep it simple just for Christmas! All you have to do now, if you haven’t yet, put all the parts together. Use glue or anything you feel good with. Put it together how you like, I’ve only given you an example on how it can possibly be, but use your imagination and create something that’s more fitting for you. That’s the beauty of arts and crafts, no two things will be exactly the same. And that’s what makes the artwork. You always put something of yourself in there.

To finish it off completely, get out some led lights, just those tiny ones are fine. I use a 40 led/2meter string wire. But use what you have around or easily can get at the store/online. I know not everyone these days can run to a store to get things like this. But just be creative and use what you have around. I know you are capable of thinking outside the box! You can do it!

Lights Winter Wonderland

I hope you had fun along this blogmas journey with me. I definitely had! I know, this project maybe doesn’t scream Christmas, but sometimes I just wanna make something a little different. Constantly making the typical Christmas things isn’t fun either and I probably run out of /original/ ideas.

Have a wonderful and magical Christmas this year! Treasure what you are able to do, whatever that is. It’s always in the small things, even though it can be hard, look for things that matter! And maybe most of all, don’t compare with others. For you it can be something totally else as another that can make you happy. And maybe turn off social media during Christmas, what others show it usually only the best part of it.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.

And again have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy Creative New Year, I’ll see you next year!

Love
Danielle

♥ Day 11; Flower Deco

21 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Another paper craft it is! I just love to work with paper, I just don’t do it enough. Even though these look simple to make. I think they are very pretty and elegant for our Christmas tree. I hope you think so as well. We are reaching the end of this Blogmas 2021, in fact this is the last craft you are gonna make. But we are still not totally done, one day to go, wait for it, you’ll find out what that’s gonna be!

Flower Deco paper craft

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ This Template. (This download gives you all templates for blogmas 2021)
♥ White Paper, 200gr/m2.
♥ X-Acto Knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.

DIY Flower Deco

First print out the template.

Cut along all the lines with an x-acto knife, make sure to put a cutting mat underneath your work, you don’t wanna cut into your desk. Be careful with the small thin parts, you don’t wanna damage those.

When you’ve done that, fold up the inner petals. This way you create a beautiful 3d flower.

Now you can decorate your tree with all those flowers, make as many as you like.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.

Have a wonderful day!

♥ Day 10; Snowman

19 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! A Winter Wonderland without snowman, is that even possible?! I just had to make one, and I could have done that in so many ways, like clay, amigurumi, plushy, etc. Way too many options. And then I thought of making them from those small pompom’s you can buy at the story, easy and quick to make, since Christmas is getting close now, we might not have that much time on our hands anymore. So let’s just go to this craft en check this one off.

Snowman DIY

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ 2 pompom’s, 1,5cm & 2,5cm.
♥ Bit of Clay in Orange, Light Blue and Black.
♥ (Hot) Glue.
♥ Light Blue Yarn. (Optional)

DIY Snowman

Glue the two pompom’s together. I like to use hot glue here, that makes life easier, it can be a struggle to glue pompom’s together.

Clay

From clay, make a Carrot for its nose, a few small “rocks” of black clay for the eyes and buttons. I also decided I wanted to give him a hat, make this one as well. Just make a flat circle and a small cylinder out of black clay, put a “ribbon” around in a color you like.

Now glue all the clay parts in the right places!

Scarf

This is totally optional, but I went ahead and make a braid of some Light blue yarn. And tied this around the neck of the snowman.

That’s all for this craft. Now go ahead and glue the snowman on top of the snowball.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

♥ Day 9; Gingerbread Houses

17 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I couldn’t get gingerbread houses out of my mind ever since I started with sketching this Winter Wonderland project. And at first I only could think of the traditional, square kind of houses. But why should I make them like that if I can have fun with it as well, and make it just a little different. So here we are, this is what we are gonna create.

Gingerbread Houses of Clay

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Air Dry Clay in the colors Brown, White and Light Blue.
♥ Glue.
♥ Sculpting Tools. (Optional)
♥ Black/Brown Marker

For this tutorial I will use glue to put parts together, you can totally leave this out if you trust your clay enough to stick.

Gingerbread Houses Tutorial

Make a ball of the brown clay of about 2cm.

From white clay make a cone first and make the base a bit hollow so the ball can sit in there nicely, you can use a ball tool for this of just use your fingers. Make the edge a bit uneven so it’s like snow. Make the tip of the cone slightly more pointy so it gets a bit more playful. Use the picture for reference, to get what I mean exactly.
Then, glue this to the ball you just made as well.

Make with some light blue clay, (3D) hearts. You can glue those to the tips of the roofs or on the side.
After that, you can make some doors on the houses, just how you like. I used a black marker to make the door handle on there

Of course you can add more details if you like, do what you love! Make as many as you want and glue them on the Snowball.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

♥ Day 8; Small Snowflake

15 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Day 8 already of Blogmas 2021! Well it’s actually day 15, but yeah my days are a little bit different haha. I hope I’m not confusing you too much. Today we will make another snowflake to go on the snowball! Just making it a bit more pretty. This small snowflake is not too complicated to make, but read well. I hope you like it!

Of this small Snowflake you will make 2. These will come right beside the big Snowflake you made earlier.

Small Snowflake

For this Pattern you’ll need:
♥ Thin Yarn in the color Light Blue.
♥ Crochet Hook, 2MM*.
♥ Scissors.
♥ Stitch Markers. (Optional)
♥ Yarn Needle.

*Check your yarn that you wanna use, to which hook size you need. For those Crochet Snowflakes it isn’t necessary to use the exact same yarn, they will only turn out bigger or smaller.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SlSt = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
Inc = Increase.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

Pattern Small Snowflake

1: 6SC in a Magic Ring, SLSt in the first st. This will be the base. [6]
2: Ch1, (1SC in base + Ch5, insert in second ch from hook, 4SlSt* + 1SC in same st as last SC in base, Ch4) 6 times, SlSt in the first st. [6 Crystals]
Fasten off and weave in tail.

* When you made a chain, you’ll use SlSt to go back to your base. You’ll see 2 loops on the ‘right’ side of your chain, if you turn it around you’ll see 1 loop, these are the ones I used to make my Slip Stitches in.

All you have to do now is to sew them on the snowball, just how you like.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.
