Paper

♥ Day 11; Flower Deco

21 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Another paper craft it is! I just love to work with paper, I just don’t do it enough. Even though these look simple to make. I think they are very pretty and elegant for our Christmas tree. I hope you think so as well. We are reaching the end of this Blogmas 2021, in fact this is the last craft you are gonna make. But we are still not totally done, one day to go, wait for it, you’ll find out what that’s gonna be!

Flower Deco paper craft

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ This Template. (This download gives you all templates for blogmas 2021)
♥ White Paper, 200gr/m2.
♥ X-Acto Knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.

DIY Flower Deco

First print out the template.

Cut along all the lines with an x-acto knife, make sure to put a cutting mat underneath your work, you don’t wanna cut into your desk. Be careful with the small thin parts, you don’t wanna damage those.

When you’ve done that, fold up the inner petals. This way you create a beautiful 3d flower.

Now you can decorate your tree with all those flowers, make as many as you like.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.

Have a wonderful day!

Love
Danielle

PS. if you love those patterns, maybe you’d like to support me on Ko-Fi?! So I can keep making content like this!

♥ Day 6; Paper Stars

11 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I hope you like paper craft or cutting or how you wanna call it. Because today we are making some paper stars in 3d! I love how they turned out, not too complicated but still very pretty. Let’s see how to make those!

I hope you are having fun so far making all or some of the crafts for this year’s blogmas?! We are at the sixths day, so half way through.

Paper Stars

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ This Template. (This download gives you all templates for blogmas 2021)
♥ White Paper, preferably about 200gr/m2.
♥ X-acto Knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.
♥ Ruler.
♥ Needle and Thread.

DIY Paper Stars

First print out this template. This will be enough for 5 stars.

For one complete star, you need to have 3 stars cut out. Cut along all the solid lined using an x-acto knife and a ruler, the dotted line you’ll leave alone. Make sure to put a cutting mat underneath your work, so you won’t damage your surface.

When you’ve cut them out, score two of them along the dotted line. Put one in front of the non scored star and one behind it. Now sew along the dotted line using a needle and thread, make holes before you start sewing to make it easier. Make sure to start from the point and leave a long thread before you start. Then sew down and up again using a running stitch. So, both ends of the thread will be at the top and this will make the loop to hang it from.

That’s all there is to do! Make several stars if you like and hang them underneath the snowball.

♥ Winter Wonderland BLOGMAS 2021

27 november 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! This year we will do another Christmas Craft Along, or Blogmas, or however you wanna call it! I’m excited to do this this year again! I somehow always look forward to making those blogs every year. They make me happy, even though it is a lot of work as well and coming up with something new each year isn’t easy either. But I managed.

This year will be a tiny bit different, I will make a blog post every other day, not each day like I usually do. I will post every uneven day, so dec 1st, dec 3rd etc. I hope that’s fine by you!

Last year I did all crochet items, check them here if you missed them!

This time we will do all kinds of crafts, like paper art, crochet, clay, etc. All kinds of things, but I am sure you will manage to make all, even if you are not familiar with the medium we’re working with!

It has a Winter Wonderland theme!
We will basically make one thing in the end, but all the items we will make it separate and assemble it together along the way. Of course you don’t have to make everything, for example if you only like the tree or the fairies, just make those and decorate your house with it.

This is what we will make in the end:

The whole DIY/pattern is already available as PDF on my Ko-Fi, in case you wanna start early or don’t want any advertisement in the blogs. A little extra in the PDF is a story line. You won’t get that in the blogs! Go to my Ko-Fi shop now and buy it!

I hope you are just as excited as I am, I had a lot of fun making this and coming up with all those Winter Wonderland parts.

Stay Creative!

Love
Danielle

PS. Don’t forget to mark dec 1st on your calendar! I’ll see you then!

♥ Paper Autumn Lantern DIY

11 november 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Today it’s November 11th, and there are a bunch of celebrations today, one of the things we celebrate is St. Maarten. Kids go door to door, at night, with a lantern and sing to get candy. It’s a bit similar to trick or treating. It’s also Singles day, but that has nothing to do with today’s blog haha. Maybe a bit, just take time for yourself and craft you own lantern. Cause today we will make this fun paper lantern that you can decorate your house with!

Paper Lantern

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Paper in a color of choice (about 200 gr/m2)
♥ This Template.
♥ Semi-Translucent Paper.
♥ Printer or Pencil.
♥ X-acto knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.
♥ Glue.
♥ Bone Folder.

DIY Lantern

Print out this template, you can use regular printer paper and tape it to your thick paper. Printers sometimes don’t like thick paper. You can use any color of paper I used black and white, but it’s totally up to you.

Cutting out

Start cutting out all the solid lines with an x-acto knife. Make sure to put an cutting mat under your work, you don’t wanna damage your workspace. All the dotted lines you leave alone for now. Easiest is to do the insides/windows first.

Now score all the dotted lines with a bone folder or anything else you can make an indent with.

Making Windows

Cut out a rectangle of the semi translucent paper, for the windows, slightly smaller as the paper outlines. (the bottom of the lantern you can ignore). Mine was about 23,7cm by 8,25cm. Glue this neatly to the inside and let it dry well.

!! Just a slight warning, if you use white glue and your paper is not thick enough, it can warp. I prefer to use clear glue for this reason, it doesn’t contain water. !!

Folding and Glueing

When all has dried well, it’s time to folded all the dotted lines that you have scored before. I used a bone folder to make them neat. After that you can glue everything together.

Paper Lantern

Your paper lantern is done! Isn’t it adorable?! I love them, and I already know so many more designs for them, wanna see those too?! Anyway, if you made some as well, please show me on Twitter or Instagram, I’d love to see what you made!

Have a wonderful day!

♥ Paper Plant in Shell DIY

10 juni 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I was thinking hard what to make for this week’s blog. I had a bunch of ideas, but those were more like long term projects. That wouldn’t happen in just a week. You will find out what it will be in the future. For today I kept it a bit more simplistic, but still fun. A little Paper Plant in a Shell! Look how cute that is. I’m absolutely obsessed with this, perfect to decorate with. And the best thing is, you can make it as big as you want.

Paper Plant in a Shell

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Shells of choice.
♥ Green paper. (Make sure it’s not too thin so it can hold its shape).
♥ Air Dry Clay.
♥ Acrylic Paint.
♥ (Nylon) Thread.
♥ Glue.
♥ Scissors.
♥ X-Acto Knife.
♥ Tiny Rocks. (Optional)
♥ (Fake) Moss. (Optional)

Tutorial Paper Plant in Shell

First prep your shell if you wanna be able to hang. Cut about 15cm of the nylon thread, make a loop and make a knot. Glue the knot inside the shell, it’s up to you where, just how you wanna hang it. Let the glue dry well.

Clay

The clay will function as the soil in the shell. Push a bit of clay inside the hole and give it a bit of a rough texture, sand like. And let this dry.

Creating the Plant

You can make any plant you want. I chose to do a fern, so cute! It’s only a bit fiddly to cut out. So, I can imagine if you chose something else. Look at how to plant is formed and go from there. Copy the leaf shape to the paper with a pencil. Cut those out with an x-acto knife or use scissors if the shape is easy to cut. Maybe add a bit of paint/pastel if you feel like it need more depth or when there are patterns on the leaf, like with a Calathea for example.

Next, it’s time to glue the leaves together. Since I chose a fern, those all come together at the bottom. So, that’s where I used glue to connect all the leave. But again, use reference pictures if you chose another plant. It could be that you need some kind of stem. Maybe you need some wire to make it a bit more sturdy. Shape the plant a bit if needed.

Finishing off

Paint the soil in a brown color or another color of choise if you prefer. Glue tiny rock here and there as well if you want. I found that the rocks will give it more of a realistic look. Also you could add some (fake) moss if you like, also glue this on the shell, be a bit messy. Nature doesn’t colors inside the lines perfectly either. When all those little bits are added to the shell and the glue is dry. Then it’s time to glue the plant to the soil.

Done!

And your paper plant is all done, look how adorable this shell turned out! I love it. When this blog is done, I will make a few more, I might try to attempt to make a Monstera one. Let’s see if that will work out. When it does, I’ll update this blog with some pictures. And of course on social media. If you made one or more as well, don’t forget to show me on Twitter or Instagram! I’d love to see what you create!

Paper Plant in a Shell

Happy crafting and I’ll see you next week!
