♥ Day 11; Flower Deco

21 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Another paper craft it is! I just love to work with paper, I just don’t do it enough. Even though these look simple to make. I think they are very pretty and elegant for our Christmas tree. I hope you think so as well. We are reaching the end of this Blogmas 2021, in fact this is the last craft you are gonna make. But we are still not totally done, one day to go, wait for it, you’ll find out what that’s gonna be!

Flower Deco paper craft

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ This Template. (This download gives you all templates for blogmas 2021)
♥ White Paper, 200gr/m2.
♥ X-Acto Knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.

DIY Flower Deco

First print out the template.

Cut along all the lines with an x-acto knife, make sure to put a cutting mat underneath your work, you don’t wanna cut into your desk. Be careful with the small thin parts, you don’t wanna damage those.

When you’ve done that, fold up the inner petals. This way you create a beautiful 3d flower.

Now you can decorate your tree with all those flowers, make as many as you like.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.

Have a wonderful day!

Love
Danielle

♥ Easter Shakers DIY

1 april 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! It’s almost Easter time and I have barely done anything this year. While usually I have plenty of ideas that I wanna make/do. *Sigh not sure why actually. Maybe I’m just too tired still (and in pain, but let’s not talk about that). Anyway, let’s go to today’s tutorial! We are gonna make some Easter shakers, you can put them to decorate of as a little gift or just to play around with. It’s fun and I hope you will join me to make some.

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Paper.
♥ Pencil/Marker.
♥ Printer. (optional)
♥ Sheet of clear plastic.
♥ Needle and Thread. (color of choice)
♥ Glitter, Sequins, etc. (to put inside)
♥ Glue.

DIY Easter Shakers

Start with drawing or printing out an egg shape on paper, make it as big as you want. This will be your guide. Trace this with pencil or a marker (test what works for you) on a sheet of clear plastic. Make sure you cut out 2 of the same shape.

Option 1, Easy

Prepare some glitter, sequins, etc, that you can put inside your egg. Set it aside and continue with the clear egg. Take your needle and thread color of choice and start sewing the 2 sheets of the egg together. Sew about 2-5mm from the edge, with a running stitch (a blanket stitch will work too). Try to make your stitches not too far apart from each other, or the glitter or other things will fall out. When you almost reached the end of sewing the 2 pieces together, about 2cm left, open this hole up and put the glitter you prepared inside, you might wanna make a funnel of paper to make this easier. Then continue to sew the opening close. Tie a knot in the yarn and with the left over yarn you can make a loop to be able to hang it.

Option 2, Harder

Trace the egg on green colored paper as well, I used 2 different shades of green but 1 is fine as well. Draw grass in those egg shapes and cut out. You can make as many layers as you like, use a bit of glue in between the layers to make it a bit easier. Now you can choose to glue some of the sequins/glitter to the grass already, or add those later, or do both, glue and add later like I did. Next, put the paper in between the two plastic egg shape sheets. Make sure to hold it in place well, maybe with the help of a clip. Now start sewing like I explained by option 1.

Wrap up

Now your fun egg shape shakers are done! I hope you will like them, I absolutely did and went ahead to make some different shapes as well. I love the clear and shaker effect of it. A bit more playful! If you had fun making some as well, make sure to show me on Twitter or Instagram with #DelinleaDIY, I’d love to see what you made!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

♥ Christmas CAL 2019; Part 3

19 december 2019 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! The third part is here! But that also means this CAL is coming to an end *sad face*. Today we will cover the last bits of our Christmas CAL, the decoration. It’s not that much for today, but December is already hectic enough, let’s not make it more difficult!

For this pattern you’ll need:
♥ Yarn in the colors, Red and Yellow, but you can use other colors you like for the decoration! (I used Stylecraft Special in the colors Lipstick and Saffran).
♥ Crochet hook 2,5 or 3 mm.
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Stitch Marker.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Little caps, that are usually used for jewelry.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

Pattern

Edit: This pattern is now deleted, I will let you know when it is up in etsy!

Last, add some Christmas Lights in your tree, it’s just that little extra to make it complete! I hope you enjoyed this CAL!? Now I am actually wondering, do you like Blogmas or a CAL like this year? I would love to know what you prefer, and find out what I will do next year~.

Gingerbread Man Christmas

And now, let’s enjoy (the days before) Christmas! I hope you will have a nice one!

Love
Danielle

♥ Papercraft; Fall Decor

26 september 2019 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I really needed a small break from my crochet works, I sometimes forget other crafts excist as well! There is so much fun stuff out there. I really needed to go back to my first love for paper. You can create so much with it, either flat or 3D. For today I created something flat, tho I think it’s very cute to put somewhere in your home, some nice little fall decor. And it also includes some handlettering (I don’t explane how, but there are plenty tutorials out there). I hope you will enjoy this easy, but fun craft!

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Cardboard, in Autumn colors (you can also use patterned paper to give it that little extra).
♥ Pencil.
♥ Scissors.
♥ Glue.
♥ This Template.
♥ Black Fineliner.

DIY

Start with printing out the template (or trace it from your screen if you don’t have a printer). Cut all these parts out.

If you have all your parts cutted out, trace those to the colored paper of choise. Most parts you trace just ones, but for the leaves, just trace them as many times as you want.
For the hood mushrooms and the stem of the pumpkin, leave them on first if you trace them on to the main color, then cut off the hoods of the mushrooms and the stem of the pumpkin. Trace those parts to the desired color seperately.

Glue the stem of the pumpkin and the hoods of the mushrooms on the main colored paper.

With a black fineliner, draw on the details on the pumpkin and the leaves.

Make an arrangement of all the parts you have made, if you are happy with how it looks, glue all parts to it’s definite place.

Handlettering

Last but not least, handletter on the word ‘Fall’ or ‘Autumn’. I won’t explane, like I said, but you can find plenty of tutorials online. Or simply copy hope I wrote mine!

I hope you enjoyed this easy DIY in between everything, I defenitely did!

Love

♥ Amigurumi Pumpkin Ghost

27 september 2018 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! It’s Thursday again and that means time for a new DIY. Is it too early to make Halloween decorations already?! Oh well, you can never start early enough xD. But you can use this one as fall decoration as well, so who cares xD. Today we are going to make a pumpkin ghost. It’s cute, believe me.

For this DIY you will need:
♥  Yarn, in Orange, Black and Green.

DC = Double Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
Slst = Slip Stitch.
FL = Front Loop.
