♥ Fluffy Dragon Amigurumi Shop Pattern

3 juni 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Today is the start of something new for me. Well, not completely, but the first pattern I let test by some lovely others to check if my patterns are any good. I’m always afraid I do something wrong in my patterns or that it’s not clear. But it seems like I am doing well with my patterns.

Today will be the first shop pattern release of this adorable Fluffy Dragon Amigurumi!! Yay!!

Fluffy Dragon Amigurumi Shop Pattern procuct picture

For now I will only sell it on my ko-fi shop, where you can pay with PayPal ^^. I might wanna look into setting up another shop either on my site or another site. But using ko-fi feels good for now.

I hope you will enjoy the pattern as much as I do, this fluffy dragon is adorable. To be honest, I create this one, years ago, but never felt like releasing the pattern.

From now on I will try to make more shop patterns, to hopefully earn a bit more as I do now. Let’s keep my fingers crossed! I hope you will enjoy them a lot. I won’t focus on Amigurumi only, I’m also working on a blanket, but more on that hopefully later.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

Love
Danielle

PS. I also had a bad experience with testing. Testing can be much fun to do, but make sure to follow the rules set by the one organizing the test.

PS2. if you love those patterns, maybe you’d like to support me on Ko-Fi?! So I can keep making content like this!

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start assembling Amigurumi, I always use sewing pins first. This way I can move parts around until I am happy with how it looks, then I’ll sew them on.

Start with sewing on Mushu’s belly to the body, sew all along the edge. Then you can add the tail as well, don’t forget to add the tip of the tail and the extra pointy bits for the tail. Next sew on Mushu’s legs.
After that it’s time to assemble his face. Start with his nose, I placed it just under where you started the body. Then you also know where the whiskers and eyes go. Sew these all on neatly. When you almost sewn on the nose, add a bit of stuffing in there.
Then position the horns, on top of his head, make sure you sew them on the right way. Under the horns, come the ears. Fold those in half and sew it on. Under that 2 small spikes will go on each side.
Last sew on the spikes on his back, 1 Medium, 1 Large and then 1 Medium nicely in the middle.
Don’t forget to make pupils for the eyes, I used a bit of black felt and glued it on. There are also some details in the nose, use a bit of black yarn and embroider those on.

And Mushu is done! I hope you had fun making this pattern! This one was requested by one of my followers. So, if you have request for future patterns as well, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do for you! Just contact me on Twitter or Instagram or leave a comment/contact form. If you made any of my patterns I would love to see, please show me on  Socials as well with #DelinleaDIY.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

♥ Tutorial; Clay Snow Dragon

16 januari 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! How are you doing?! I am sad it’s still raining and storming outside, no snow for me. I keep imagining how much snow all the rain would have been xD. Anyway I am still in winter mode, so I have made this adorable snow dragon out of clay. Just a little sculpture to have around and lift up the winter spirit. It’s perfect to use clay around this time of year.

Clay Snow Dragon

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Aluminum Foil.
♥ Air Dry Clay.
♥ Skewer.
♥ Some Rough Brush or Tooth Brush for Clay Purposes.
♥ Water and/or Glue.
♥ Some Branches.
♥ Clay tools.
♥ Acrylic Paint.
♥ Varnish.
♥ Brush.
♥ Glitter/nailart deco. (optional)

Tutorial

Make 2 balls out of aluminum foil. One about 3,5cm and the other about 2cm.

Prick the skewer in the large ball, this makes it easier to hold. Cover it entirely with clay, about 1cm thick. It doesn’t have to be perfectly smooth. If you ever made a snowman with real snow, you know that’s almost impossible the get a perfectly smooth ball xD. When it’s covered, texture the clay using the rough brush or toothbrush. If that’s done, put it upside down with the skewer straight up and let it dry before you continue. Usually with air dry clay, this doesn’t take too long, although it depends on the clay!

When the large ball is as good as dry, do the same for the small one, but don’t let it dry. Cut the skewer smaller and pull out the one of the large one. Add a bit of glue around the hole of the large ball and slide in the skewer of the small one. if you left any marks where you hold it, make sure to texture it again.

Take a bit of clay, a ball around 2cm and make a oval shape of it. Put it on a flat surface and flatten the side/edges towards the flat surface. (Not sure how to explain this well, check the pics). This will be his beak. If the clay of the small ball is still wet then you can use water to put both parts together, if not use a bit of glue. Try to smooth out the edges , doesn’t have to be perfect. Don’t forget to texture it!

Horns

Make two balls out of clay, approx  0,5cm each. Make a pine cone shape of both balls. Glue those to the head where you like them. try to smooth out the edges and texture those as well.
From here I let it completely dry before I continued.

Tail

Make a long cone shape that you wanna use for the tail. At the widest part you wanna slice a part of with a knife to be able to apply it to the body easily. Texture the tail too.

Shawl

Make a long snake of clay, and flatten it a bit. Wrap about 10 to 15 cm around his neck (depends on your work), like shown in the picture. Make sure to use a bit of glue/water, cause air dry clay won’t stick to dry air dry clay.
Now make a little gap where the clay starts to overlap. In here you will add another piece of the flatten snake you made. Cut off about 4 to 5cm of the snake and flatten one side of it a bit more, this will make it easier to slide in the gap. If you have done that, add it carefully in the gap and fold the remaining part down. Make sure to use glue here as well.

Ears

Make 2 balls of about 1cm each and shape those into a flat-ish triangle. Apply those to the head and make sure to texture those as well.

Arms

Poke a hole with something sharp on the place where you want the arms to go. Cut pieces of a branch to the size you like and put those in the holes you just made.

Eyes and Buttons

With little pieces of clay make the eyes and buttons on the snow dragon. Make sure to leave those smooth so they could look like little stones stuck into the snow.

Painting

Last paint the parts you like to paint. I painted the scarf light blue and the eyes/buttons black. Further I left everything white. You can varnish the snow dragon if you like. I added some glitter to the varnish for that little extra. If you have ever seen snow, you know it sparkles. So so pretty! *-*

I hope you liked this little tutorial how to make a snow dragon out of clay! Show me if you made one as well, I’d love to see! Have a wonderful day!

Assembling

Before I sew anything together I use sewing pins to position all pieces, this way I can easily move around things until I like it. I recomment you doing this as well.

Sew the frosting to the cupcake, mine came around row 20/21. With a piece of white yarn sew a straight stitch along the top edge of the frosting. Pull both ends of the yarn and knot it tightly.
Assemble the dragons head, sew on his ears and horns. Also stitch on some ‘frosting’ with some white yarn. Then sew the head on top of the frosting, in the middle.
Position his feet, arms and tail as well and sew those on if you are happy. You don’t have to position them evenly to give it a silly look.
Last stitch on some sprinkles with some scrap yarn in colors of choise!

I hope you enjoyed my little birthday gift to you! This won’t be long online. And if you made this little cutie, make sure to show me on social media!

♥ Crochet! How small can you go?!

3 mei 2018 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies!

How are you all doing?! This week I decided to challenge myself, crochet something as small as I could go! I always love to make small things. In school I always heard that I worked way to small haha, it’s just my thing, I guess.

On the internet I often saw people crochet these tiny plushes. Always amazed by them and wondered how that was possible. Never thought of making one myself… until now. I thought why not try it, I can always quit! xD So, I grabbed my embroidery floss (I was cleaning it out anyway), devided it into 3 parts (so 2 threads in a bundle), and just go. I used a 0,9mm hook.

At the beginning I was like.. HOW do you do this >_< annoyed a bit, but I kept trying. I just don’t give up easily! And after a while of trying and doing my best to make it look like crochet xD, it actually started to get like normal crochet.. only small! It wasn’t so hard at all, easier as I could ever imagine! In the end I enjoyed crocheting so tiny. Can you imagine that?! haha.

I made a dragon from my own pattern (Which I will not share, I’m sorry!) And it’s just 4cm in length! I love it! I made the eyes from a bit of UV resin and black paint, then glued it on. In case you were wondering! I hope you can see in the pictures how tiny it is!

I made 2 other dragons to compare: for the big one I used Royal Acrylic yarn from the Zeeman (100g, 241m), made with a 3,5mm hook, it’s about 12cm in length. For the middle one I used Supersoft Acrylic yarn also from the zeeman (50gr, 199m), with a 2mm hook, it’s about 8cm in length.

I think, I’m addicted to crocheting small now… xD I wanna make so many more! I might try to go a bit smaller and use sewing thread with a 0,75mm hook. Let’s start another Ufufy! haha. I will keep you updated on my instagram and probably make a blog post about it, when I made plenty.

NOW I challenge you as well! How small can you go?! Tag me on instagram/twitter/vero if you tried! love to see if you could do it too!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Love
Daniëlle
