♥ Day 6; Paper Stars

11 december 2021 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I hope you like paper craft or cutting or how you wanna call it. Because today we are making some paper stars in 3d! I love how they turned out, not too complicated but still very pretty. Let’s see how to make those!

I hope you are having fun so far making all or some of the crafts for this year’s blogmas?! We are at the sixths day, so half way through.

Paper Stars

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ This Template. (This download gives you all templates for blogmas 2021)
♥ White Paper, preferably about 200gr/m2.
♥ X-acto Knife.
♥ Cutting Mat.
♥ Ruler.
♥ Needle and Thread.

DIY Paper Stars

First print out this template. This will be enough for 5 stars.

For one complete star, you need to have 3 stars cut out. Cut along all the solid lined using an x-acto knife and a ruler, the dotted line you’ll leave alone. Make sure to put a cutting mat underneath your work, so you won’t damage your surface.

When you’ve cut them out, score two of them along the dotted line. Put one in front of the non scored star and one behind it. Now sew along the dotted line using a needle and thread, make holes before you start sewing to make it easier. Make sure to start from the point and leave a long thread before you start. Then sew down and up again using a running stitch. So, both ends of the thread will be at the top and this will make the loop to hang it from.

That’s all there is to do! Make several stars if you like and hang them underneath the snowball.

If you decided to join this lovely project, or just some parts of it, show me on Twitter or Instagram what you are working on! I’d love to see!

If you like to buy the PDF pattern for this whole project, go to my ko-fi shop. This will have an extra story attached and no ads.

Have a wonderful day!

Love
Danielle

♥ Day2; Star Amigurumi

2 december 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Day 2 is shining so brighttt~~~ (OMG, I literally can’t say bright anymore without thinking of this Thai actor!). Anyway, I love stars! It’s so fun to look at them, and you keep discovering more the longer you watch. Who wants to watch with me?! This little star, however, was born on earth, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t shining bright. He has its own little way of being. Let’s make a bunch of them, shall we!

Star made with Amigurumi

For this pattern you’ll need:
♥ Yarn in the color Yellow (I used Stylecraft Special DK)
♥ A bit of extra Black yarn to create it’s mouth.
♥ Crochet hook. ( I used 3mm)
♥ Stuffing.
♥ Yarn Needle.
♥ Sewing Pins.
♥ Stitch Marker.
♥ Safety Eyes, 6mm.

Stitches used (US Terms):
Magic Ring.
CH = Chain.
SLST = Slip Stitch.
SC = Single Crochet.
HDC = Half Double Crochet.
DC = Double Crochet.
ST = Stitch.
Inc = Increase.
Dec = Decrease.
(…) = Repeat the space in brackets the given number of times.
[…] = Total number of stitches.

This pattern is made with continues rounds, unless stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker to mark your first/last stitch of your row.

♥ Pattern Star

Star (Make 2)
Use the color Yellow.

1: 5SC in a Magic Ring. [5]
2: 2SC in each st around. [10]
3: (1SC, inc) 5 times. [15]
4: (SC + HDC in the next st, 2DC in the next st, HDC + SC in the next st) 5 times. [30]
Fasten off and leave a long tail on one of the two parts, for the other you can weave in the tail.
Place the eyes on one of the parts, between row 2&3.

♥ Assembling

Whenever I start assembling Amigurumi, I’d like to use sewing pins to position all parts first until I’m happy. Then I will sew them on. I recommend you do so as well.

But for this satr one, there isn’t much to assemble, you only have to sew both parts together.
Then with the piece of black yarn, create his mouth.
If you want to hang it, don’t forget to add a loop to the top.

I hope you enjoyed today’s pattern! I think it’s adorable. If you decided to make any of the blogmas amigurumi, please show me on Twitter or Instagram  with #DelinleaDIY. I’d love to see what you make using my patterns.

And don’t forget that you can get all Blogmas patterns ad free in a PDF bundle in my Ko-Fi shop (English US terms and Dutch). The link you can find on the Blogmas Page here! (Etsy might follow later).

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Love

♥ Day 1; Mew Felt Ornament

1 december 2018 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! Today is the start of Blogmas 2018!! That means, from today on, until dec 24!! A new blog with DIY will be uploaded daily! So 24 free DIYs for you this month! This whole month is Christmas X Pokémon themed! I hope you like that!? I promise they are all very cute. There might be 1 exception, that’s not gonna be Pokémon themed, but you will find out =P.

I will kick off this blogmas with a felt ornament! I choose to put Mew with a star as the first DIY. Let’s go into it! Shall we?!

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥  Felt in the colors Yellow, Pink and White/Blue.
♥  Sewing thread in matching colors to the felt.
♥  Sewing Needle.
♥  Trick Marker or anything else where you can copy the pattern with onto your felt.
♥  Pattern.
♥  Scissors.
♥  Stuffing.
♥  Fabric Glue. (optional)
♥  Acryllic Paint. (optional)

DIY

First off all, download the pattern HERE! And print it out (or draw it from your screen). The good thing is, you can make it as big as you want! Then cut out all the pieces. On every piece is stated how many times you need to cut it out.

The star you copy and cut out of Yellow felt, The eyes out of white (and blue if you decide not to use paint like I did) and the rest of the pieces you copy on Pink felt and cut them out. Make sure you don’t loose track of what pieces are which.

Sewing

Sew the star together, using the Blanket stitch! (This stitch will use all the time) Make sure before closing the whole star, that you stuff it, to give it a little bit more dimension.

Then sew part A and B together of Mew. Then line up part C with part B and sew those together. You don’t have to do this very neathly since it doesn’t show anyway!

Now sew on the back of the body, part D, start by the head, by the ears you sew both parts together with a running stitch, you don’t sew around them. And stuff the head before you start with the body. Then sew the body together as well, and before entirely closing, stuff this as wel.

Now I used Glue to attach the remaining parts, but you can ofcourse choose to sew this on as well, I went for the quick option xD. Glue on the legs, part F, to the back of Mew. (Use the drawn image on the pattern for reference). Then glue on the tail, part E, inbetween the legs.
Glue on the arms as wel, just under the head, as shown in the picture.

Now it’s time to attach mew to the star, start by his head and arms, glue this on, in the position you like. Then glue the body to the star, so it’s won’t move anymore. Now you bring the tail to the front of the star and position it the way you like! Glue on when you are happy with how it looks.

And last but not least, glue on the eyes! If you didn’t use the blue felt and went for the paint option like I did. This is the moment to paint them.

With a lilttle pieces of sewing thread make a loop to hang it on. Just pull your length of thread through the star with a needle. Till you reached the middle of the thread, put both ends together and tie a knot.

And you are done with mew! How cute will it look in your christmas tree?! Adorable right?!
Share yours with #DelinleaBlogmas2018DIY on twitter or insta! Love to see yours!

I will see you tomorrow!

Love
Danielle
