Halloween

♥ Halloween Amigurumi’s

1 oktober 2020 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! The spooky month started! Yay! I love it, although we don’t really celebrate it here in the Netherlands. Over the years I have made quite some amigurumi’s that are Halloween related, so I want to list them down in today’s blog. Maybe some you’ve missed or forgot about. So, let’s refresh our memory!

♥ Bat

This bad isn’t scary at all, but who said that all Halloween related stuff had to be scary?! It’s fun to change things up. I think it will look cute to hang a bunch in the air at a party, maybe if someone walks into them, they might get scared anyway if they didn’t expect them!

♥ Bunny Pumpkin

What’s Halloween without Pumpkins?! I just can’t imagine that. I love to decorate, craft and also cook with them. They are multifunctional! I think this year I need to buy a good pumpkin to carve it out. Not sure what yet tho. I will figure that out later. For now enjoy this Amigurumi pattern, at least you don’t have to watch it if it gets moldy xD.

♥ Cat Ghost

How cute is this cat ghost?! I’ve made 3 in go last year, oops xD. And I actually feel like making more.. I guess I will. They are just so easy to make!

Cat Ghost

♥ Ghost

This little ghost is using the most basic and well know crochet technique, granny square! I sometimes like to play around with stitches like this. That’s how this pattern came alive as well. I usually just have too many ideas.

♥ Hiding Witches

Yes, shy witches exist as well! Didn’t know that right?! These love to hide under their hat and are really friendly, they actually just wanna help you but don’t know how to do that. Maybe we should give them a little hand! These you can make in all sorts of colors, and let them sit anywhere. I think it’s fun decoration around this time of year!

Hiding Witches

♥ Jack Skellington

I think I should add Jack here as well. I really should watch the movie again since I forgot a bit where it was about. But the Nightmare Before Christmas just shouldn’t be left out here!

♥ Pumpkin Ghost

This one is also made using the Ghost pattern, same series. Just added a Pumpkin instead of a round head. It already gives such a different vibe! I love this one the most, I think, out of this series. Probably because of the pumpkin head that makes it just that little different. I love things that are different!

♥ Witch Ghost

Just like the Ghost pattern, is this one from the same series I made. With a few chances you can make something look completely different. You can make so many variations. You don’t always have to make a completely new pattern.

I hope this post refreshed your mind and that you are able to make some of these patterns you might have forgotten. These are all fun to make, and pretty easy as well! If you made some of those patterns, I hope you will show me on Twitter or Instagram with the #DelinleaDIY. I always love to see what you created using my patterns.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next week!

Love
Danielle

♥ Halloween Nail Art

31 oktober 2019 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! It’s Halloween today! Are you celebrating it? I obviously won’t, here in The Netherlands it’s like not really a thing, it starts to get more, but yeah.. I just decorated my room, maybe watch a scary movie tonight and made my nails pretty. And that’s where it is about in this blog, nail art. for today’s tutorial I wanted to something Halloween related which you can do last minute. Some quick , easy nail art! It’s easier as it looks and I’ll explane how to do it.

Halloween Nail Art

For this Nail Art Tutorial you’ll need:
♥ Nailpolish Base Coat.
♥ Nailpolish in the colors Orange, Green and Black. (Or Black Acrylic Paint).
♥ Nailpolish Top Coat.
♥ Dotting Tool.
♥ Liner Brush.
♥ Nail Polish Remover

Note, before you start, if you use liner brushes or the dotting tool, make sure to clean them immediatly after every use, so you won’t ruin them. (With remover)

Tutorial

Make sure your nails are nice and clean. Apply a base coat to all your nails first, it’s important to protect your nails.

When the Base Coat is dry, make your thumb, middle finger and pinky Orange. Your ring finger Green and your index finger you’ll leave blank. It depends on the nailpolish you use if you need several coats. Make sure to let all layers dry well!

Thumb

Take out your dotting tool, make 3 larger dots with Green on your nail. Now put two smaller dots on the sides of each big dot to create a Mickey shape. Do the same with Black in between the Green ones.

Index Finger

With a dotting tool, create the Orange part of the pumpkin. Just start with a oval and on the sides connected make smaller, half oval shapes (If that makes sense xD). With a liner brush, dipped into Green nailpolish, paint the stem. Let this dry well before you are going to add the black lines.

I used black acryllic paint here instead of polish, this makes it a bit easier to work with. Since you are appling a top coat after, you don’t have to be scared it’s gonna be washed off. Use a liner brush to make those thin lines.

Middle Finger

With the liner brush dipped into Green nailpolish, create diagonal lines. It’s okay if it’s a bit messy, just tell people it was on purpose xD.

Ring Finger

With Orange create a french nail. Let this dry nicely and add a Black line to seperate the Orange and Green. (I also used Acrylic paint for the black line here).

Pinky

With a dotting tool create Green dots evenly spread on your nail.

For your other hand you can do the same, switch up the colors/pattern or if you are lazy, alternate orange and green (like I did xD)

Last finish all your nails of with a top coat to seal everything in. Let it all dry and you are done!

I hope you enjoyed this quick, fun tutorial for a last minute touch to you Halloween outfit! Enjoy your night!

♥ Free Pattern; Hiding Witches Amigurumi

24 oktober 2019 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! I actually, don’t know how I came up with this amigurumi, but I totally love it! And I hope you will as well. I wanted to make so many of those hiding witches! I had to hold myself back and do other stuffs as well, always enough to do, don’t need to add extra things. Are you like that as well? Way to excited to make so many things, while you have no time for it all? Anyway, let’s get into this pattern!

Hiding Witches

For this DIY you’ll need:
♥ Yarn in the colors; Black, Orange, Purple and Green. ( I used Stylecraft and some other yarn I don’t remember it’s name).

2: 2SC in each st around. [12]
3: (1SC, inc) 6 times. [18]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Shoes (Make 2)
Use the color Black.

1: Ch6, insert in the second Ch from hook, 4SC, 3SC in the next st, 3SC, inc. [12]
2: 12SC. [12]
3: 12SC. [12]
Fasten off and sew a small part together, until you are left with a gap for the leg to fit in.

Assembling.

By the use of sewing pins, you can position all of your parts first to see if you like it. When you are happy,  you can sew it on. I recomment you doing so.

Sew the body to the head using a bit a extra thread. Mine is sewn where the dress starts, into the BL of the hat. Then sew the legs to the body and add her shoes as well. And you are already done!

I hope you liked this Hiding Witches pattern as much as I do! I still wanna make more haha, one day, one day!
Have a wonderful day and make sure to show me on social media if you made one.

♥ Clay Chip and Dale Pumpkin TsumTsum

17 oktober 2019 by Delinlea Leave a Comment

Hey Lovelies! A friend brought those adorable Halloween Tsum Tsum of 2019 to my attention. And I immediately thought I have to make those somehow, but I already knew then, I can’t make them all. *sadly enough*. Chip and Dale got my attention mainly, where they are little pumpkins, so cute! I was dubbing if I would make Amigurumi’s or make them another way. Then I saw the Air Dry Clay I recently bought, and thought, that’s it, I’ll be making them out of clay! I struggled to get nice pictures tho, *sigh, how to you photograph this?! Oh well, I hope you will get what I mean. Let’s do this~.

Chip And Dale Pumpkin Tsum Tsum halloween 2019

For this DIY you’ll need;
♥ Air Dry Clay or Polymer Clay. (It’s up to you for what you prefer).
♥ X-acto Knive.
♥ Clay Tools. (If you prefer).
♥ Water. (In case you use Air Dry Clay like me).
♥ Acrylic Paint. (To either paint the whole thing, if you don’t use colored clay or to paint details).
♥ Brush.

For this tutorial you can choose to use colored clay or just one base color like white. I used a combination of colored clay and painting on details. But you can also paint the whole thing at the end.

Tutorial

Take a bit of (Orange) clay for the body, make a ball and roll this out until you get a ‘pill’ shape. Flatten it a bit, so it doesn’t roll around all the time, and to create the belly.

At about 1/3 of the pill, make an indence, this is where the head seperates from the body. You won’t cut it of tho, just to define it.

On top of the body you will create a line as well, all the way to it’s butt. You will create two more lines on each half, nicely seperated. See the pictures to let this make more sense xD.

Now make 4 small, even, tiny balls for the feet. Place these around his belly (the flattened part) and place it back on a flat surface so the feet get a bit squized.

Take a tiny bit of (Yellow) clay for his snout.  Roll it in to a ball, and push it a bit flat on whatever surface you are working on, while doing so, also make it a bit more oval.

Place this on his face with some water and if you want you can smooth out the edges nicely.

Take another bit of (Green) clay and make it flat. With an X-acto knive, cute out a tiny leave for the tail. You can smooth out the edges a bit after you cutted it. When you are happy, place it where the tail should be.

Create a little pumpkin stem now, I used a bit darker green for this, this goes on top of his head.

For the ears, create a tiny snake out of green clay, flatten it so you have a long oval. Cut this in half, you have 2 ears now. Place these besides the stem.

Painting

To finish of Chip and Dale, paint on the details, the little veins on the tail and ears, and ofcourse his face. The difference between Chip and Dale are the eyes, and the nose, Dale’s nose is red.

To finish it of completely you can choose to varnish it, to seal in the paint and protect it from future damage.

I hope you liked this tutorial, I hope I did well. It’s always much more complicated to explane clay tutorials. I tried my hardest.

Have a wonderful day~

Love
Danielle

Assembling

By using sewing pins, you can position all parts before sewing them on. This way you can easily move them around until you are happy with how it looks.

Sew the ears on to of the head of the Bat and his belly to the body. His legs go right beside, slightly lower his belly. On His back you will sew his wings. Position them however you like.

If you want you can sew on a little mouth, I didn’t because I like it this way xD.

I hope you enjoyed this new bat pattern and let me know if you made it! I always love to see works that are made by you, using my patterns, I always feel so loved!

Have a wonderful day!
